St. Joseph Eureka ICU receives new equipment thanks to generous donation

Trinidad natives Gail Saunders and her brother Larry, were looking for a way to continue the family legacy of support for St. Joseph Eureka when they were told of a need in the Intensive Care Unit recently.  The Saunders parents, Glenn and Janis, had supported the Eureka hospital in years past and the siblings wanted to honor their parents generosity with a gift that would significantly improve patient safety and quality.  The Saunders were quick to act when VP of Philanthropy, Paul McGinty, told them the BiPaP Ventilators in ICU were in need of an update.  Gail and Larry knew this was the right choice for them and donated $125,000 so the hospital could upgrade and purchase 10 new ventilators.  Staff in the ICU were thrilled when told the new machines were coming and that they could continue to provide outstanding care to our community.  From everyone at St. Joseph Eureka – Thank you Gail and Larry!!!
