Queen of the Valley Receives Corporate Community Service Award from Center for Volunteer & Nonprofit Leadership (CVNL)

During the Center for Volunteer & Nonprofit Leadership (CVNL) 3rd Annual Heart of Napa™ Awards Ceremony and Luncheon on Thursday, March 15, 2018, Queen of the Valley was honored with the Corporate Community Service Award. This award is given each year to a business that has encouraged volunteerism among its employees.

Queen of the Valley was recognized for its response to the increased needs in the community, by feeding the hungry, advocating for the vulnerable at town hall meetings, performing services at no charge to qualified patients through Operation Access, and many other initiatives that help our most vulnerable neighbors. Queen was one of five “Corporate Community Service” nominees.

Other nominees included: Adventist Health, St. Helena Hospital, Kaiser Permanente Napa-Solano, Pride Family Winery of St. Helena, and Rebuild Wine Country. We are honored to have received this award, which was sponsored by Pacific Gas and Electric Company. Kim Brown Sims, CNO; Amy Herold, CMO; Todd Bartlett, Director of Surgical Services; Dr. Maryam Mohsenzadeh, Mobile Dental Clinic; and Liz Alessio, Community Benefit, received the award on the hospital’s behalf.  We are honored to have received this award, which was sponsored by Pacific Gas and Electric Company.
