Frequently Asked Questions on New scrub machines at INWA Ministries

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

When will the scrub machines be available?

Scrub machines will be up and running beginning Thursday, Dec. 1 at Providence Holy Family Hospital and Thursday, Dec. 8 at Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center.

Will scrubs still be available in locker rooms?

No. This new process allows us to be good stewards of our resources and provides accountability of the scrub inventory and cleaning process. The scrub machines ensure those who are required to wear hospital-sourced scrubs have access to them.

Where are the scrub machines located? Where do we return them?

What if I need more than six items of scrubs?

We have limited it to six items so all who need scrubs are able to get them. As items are returned to the designated return bin, credits are replenished to the user’s account. Each scrub item equals one credit.

What if I experience an issue with getting scrubs?

Our scrub vendor, Cintas, will be on-site to help providers, APPs and caregivers during the launch. If you experience issues  getting scrubs, please reach out to your core leader or department manager.

Can I take hospital provided  scrubs home to clean them?

For infection prevention purposes, scrubs must be returned to the designated bin after they are worn to be professionally cleaned. Per hospital policy, scrubs are NOT allowed to leave the hospital.

Will scrub caps be provided in the machines?

Scrub cap laundering program will not change. All caps to be laundered should continue to be put in the bags currently provided.

Are the bags the scrubs come in recyclable?

Yes! The polybags are recyclable and should be returned to the designated bins.
