Mission – Vision – Values: Focus on Compassion & Dignity: Compassionate Care

Dear COVID Army of  Warriors:

I want to thank you for the incredible care you gave [my husband] while he was suffering from the COvid-19. I  realize you were and are still on a battlefield and appreciate your willingness to put yourself and your loved ones at risk by putting yourself in the position of treating  our loved ones. Your sacrifice, courage ………..speechless.

I  continue to pray for wisdom and direction for you as you treat your patients presently. As well as for good health and protection for you and your families.

There were so many of you that went beyond what would ever be expected. To hold [my husband’s] hand, to squeeze it and tell him how much I loved him. As well as messages from my daughters and myself when we weren’t able to talk to him via the nurses when in his room. This was daily and nightly. This was done along with caring for his constant needs. It gave us such comfort knowing some communication was given and we pray he heard us. He was a very special man and we loved him so dearly. -To name a few of the wonderful people that cared for [my husband]:Dr. Valdeconza, Dr. Steele, Dr. Leschinsky and Dr. Ben. Some of these doctors were so compassionate and communicated so well with my daughters and myself. They all were so helpful. The nurses really expressed incredible care, compassion and willingness to fulfill our requests and beyond. I especially want to extend hugs to Susan. She knows how special she was to [my husband] and is to me. However, there were many others that extended wonderful care: Michelle,

Taylor, Victoria, Betsy, Melissa, Sarah, Alice, Faith, Rose, Erica, Rick, and Stacy and Joe who held my husband’s hand during his last moments before going home to be with the Lord. Forgive me if I missed someone’s name. I still appreciate all you did. There were many that answered the phone and transferred calls. They were helpful and compassionate as well.

I would like my thanks to be extended to the ER doctors and nurses which also helped with [my husband’s care]. I believe it was Dr. Rasmussen, Dr. Solomon, Esther and Laura. Special thanks to Laura for holding my husband’s hand and praying with him as well. You will never know how much that meant to him as well as me!!! Thank you for extending that comfort and peace to him. An extension of HIS hands.

Forever grateful.
