Swedish recognized with awards in Organ and Tissue Donation by LifeCenter Northwest

LifeCenter Northwest, a federally designated organ procurement organization, recognizes top performing hospitals annually for their dedication to organ and tissue donation. For 2017, Swedish received three awards, including the 2017 Organ Donation Achievement Award, 2017 Tissue Donation Achievement Award, and the Tissue Donation Referral Achievement Award.

  • Swedish Medical Center has been featured as a multi-award-winning hospital in the 2017 LifeCenter Northwest Annual Report. Each year, LifeCenter recognizes top performing hospitals for their continued dedication to supporting donation.
  • Swedish Cherry Hill, Mill Creek, Redmond Campuses are listed among 26 hospitals to receive the 2017 Tissue Donation Referral Achievement Award, which recognizes your outstanding timely referral rate.
  • Swedish First Hill, is one of six hospitals to receive one the 2017 Tissue Donation Achievement Award. This award is presented to hospitals that reach or exceed a 75 percent tissue donation rate. Tissue donation is impacted by many factors including timely referral calls, logistics, commu­nity education, and outreach.
  • Swedish Issaquah, is one of 15 hospitals to receive the 2017 Organ Donation Achievement Award, which recognizes a 75% or greater donation rate. This rate is achieved through timely referral calls, collaboration with LifeCenter on potential donation cases, and maintaining the opportunity for donation.
