‘We want to thank our outstanding doctor and the extraordinary cardiac staff at Cherry Hill’

We want to thank the outstanding Dr. Patrick Ryan and all the extraordinary cardiac staff at Swedish Cherry Hill.

My husband Ted* had heart surgery on March 9. He had his aortic heart valve replaced. It was a very scary operation for us. When we arrived that morning, we were both very nervous. From the time Ted was taken to the pre-op area to when he left the hospital a week later, we were very impressed with everyone who worked with him. I tried to write down all the names, but I don’t want to list them in fear that I will have missed someone. However, every single person from the very nice lady who escorted us back to pre-op to the housekeeping lady who offered me coffee, helped make a very stressful week much better. The wonderful anesthesiologist involved in the surgery helped to make my waiting during the surgery and after the surgery less worrisome. The nurses and staff in the ICU were fantastic. I felt very comfortable with Ted being in their care. When he was transferred to 4th floor, he was again under the care of very professional nurses, nursing assistants, and staff. All the Physician Assistants monitored his vitals continually to make sure he was stable before sending him home were exceptional. When it was time to leave, there was a very thorough discharge plan with clear instructions. When we left the hospital, I left feeling confident that Ted was on the road to recovery.

Also, thank you for Cherry Hill Inn. It was so comforting to be able to stay so close. Although, I spent most of my time in Ted’s room, it was great having a bed to go back to every evening.

We are so appreciative of everyone involved in his surgery and care.  Thank you so much for making this scary and unexpected adventure in our lives a successful one.

Sincerely,

Ted and Marge*
